Godawan 01 is an Indian single malt whisky born in the heat of Rajasthan. It is named after the Godawan, the Great Indian Bustard, one of India's rarest birds, and the brand stands for the desert, its wildlife and its craft.
Made from locally sourced six-row barley, Godawan 01 is aged in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and finished in second-fill ex-bourbon barrels treated with Indian botanicals. Rajasthan's heat and dryness speed up the exchange between spirit and wood, giving the whisky depth and colour.
